Richard Walsh: Retired Maths and Irish Teacher in Abbey CBS, Tipperary, Ireland. Original Co-ordinator of the Abbey India Project...an immersion experience for Abbey students spending some weeks working in Providence School. In Summer 2008, cycled across USA from San Francisco to Providence (7000 km) for the children in Providence School in Shillong India. In 2014 I cycled halfway across Europe (Ireland to Vienna) See www.cycleacrosseurope.blogspot.com In 2015 completed the trek across Europe from Vienna to Istanbul See www.vienna-to-istanbul.blogspot.com. In 2016 started the cycle across Asia (Beijing through Mongolia to Osh in Kyrgyzstan). In 2018 continued the Silk Road traversing the high altitude and rough tracks of the Pamir Highway to Dushanbe (Taj). In 2019, starting at the Arctic Ocean in far north Canada cycled down through the Yukon and following the Rockies into the USA down as far as the heat of Moab (Utah).
